Istvan “Steve” Diossy (born 1975 Chicago, IL), is a self taught Artist, Who at the age of 16 won 1st Place and Presidential recognition for a sculpture depicting Michelangelo's "The Florentine Pietà."
His most notable work to date is the best selling "Protect Wild Dolphins" Florida license plate commissioned by Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute /FAU which has raised over 20 million dollars for marine mammal conservation.
Steve lives and continues to work out of his studio in south Florida. It is clear that through his artwork, he reflects a great love of his community, and its natural surroundings. By frequently escaping to the beach, Steve fuels his inspiration and an endless desire to create vividly humorous, and color driven works of Art.
Since his first Florida license plate design in 1998, Steve has donated his time and talent to help protect Florida's natural resources. His efforts have helped to raise millions of dollars for marine mammal research as well as other environmental initiatives throughout Florida.

This image represents a highlight of my career when my buddy Scotty and I met Tito himself and had him sign off on the rough draft of what was soon to be one of my most famous works, "Tito's Cheers". The bar hopping in downtown Orlando with Tito afterwards accounted for the inspiration of the colorful final work.
